Are you ready for this? Introducing Warriors indoor/outdoor Bootcamp at Amerifit Ftness Club with certified Bootcamp instructor MacKenzie Hoops. Hoops is a personal trainer and boot camp instructor as well as a professional Art Director. She enjoys skiing, weight-lifting, aerobics, boxing and kickboxing, mountain biking and hiking with her dogs. She helps to raise money by biking and running for Breast Cancer, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Livestrong, and this year she will be performing in the 2011 Dancing with the Celebrities of Pittsburgh to benefit Auberle, The Center for Victims of Violence & Crime, and the Haitian Orphan Rescue.
Bootcamp is held at Amerifit Fitness Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 a.m. – 6:30 a.m. We mostly meet upstairs in the aerobics room and sometimes move around the gym to other areas such as the functional training area and racquetball courts. Every class is different but I mix up weight training with cardio and plyometric movements. I also incorporate lot of functional and core movements as oppose to isolating specific muscles (however we do do that as well). It is an intense hour of training however most exercises are timed there for it is not a competition and you will be able to go at your pace no matter what fitness level you are, I always give alternatives. I am there to motivate you to push yourself to the next level and achieve your goals. You will not need to bring any equipment, Amerifit has dumbbells, bodybars and mats that you can use and there is a locker room if you need to shower after if that is more convenient.
